Save on shipping with multiple item purchases.As the Lunar Module Pilot of the Apollo 14 mission, Edgar Mitchell was the 6th man to walk on the surface of the moon. Along with Commander Alan Shepard, he walked on the moon on February 5-6, 1971 while Command Module Pilot Stu Roosa remained in orbit. Offered here is a nice photograph of Dr. Mitchell on the moon in February 1971. He is holding a map and searching for Cone Crater. Only a handful of photo laboratories are authorized by NASA to handle the original negatives and this photo was made by one of those labs. It is first generation-- made directly from the original NASA negative. This item is a large, 16" x 20" matte finish photo on high quality Kodak Professional paper. It is signed in bold, silver pen and includes the words "Searching for Cone Crate" and "Apollo 14 LMP", along with the signature The image above is of a representative copy of this item. This image was taken with a digital camera. The edges may appear uneven, but rest assured that the item is exactly rectangular and is 16†x 20†in dimension. The words "Planet Promotions" were added to the scan to discourage copying, but they are not on the actual photo. This item is perfect for matting and framing.
