The bright blue Neon bulb is enclosed behind a durable blue plastic molded cover and the clock has a real glass face, not plastic !! The clock has large hands that are easy to read from across the room. The back frame has slotted screw or nail head hole for wall hanging or can be hung by wire if preferred. The Neon tubing operates from a 120 volt 60hz electrical adaptor. The clock has a quartz clock movement and uses one "AA" battery, not included. The adapter has a 6' cord with in-line switch and works independently from the clock. Size of clock is approximately 12" in diameter and weighs almost 4 pounds.
