Family letter & history genealogy Orcutt Clark Crosby a.imagelink {color:#a26623;} a:hover.imagelink {color:#a26623;} a:visited.imagelink {color:#fbca0c;} a.imagelink img.auctionimage { border: 2px solid #a26623; } a:visited.imagelink img.auctionimage { border: 2px solid #fbca0c; } I found this item in a box of papers that my husband just brought home from his most recent treasure hunt at PawPaw's over-stuffed house ...It is a hand-written letter or part of one, and includes two pages of births, deaths and marriages ... family names are Orcutt, Crosby, and Clark ... dates are mostly in the 1820's through 1870's ... exact age of the letter is unknown ...The letter tells of going to a temperance speech and picnic ... and tells of a load of sugar being shipped to the person receiving the letter, if I'm reading it right. As you can see from the photos, the letter is ripped at some of the folds, but still holding together and in pretty good shape ... fairly neat and readable for its age ...Free first class domestic shipping on this item ... I will send you an invoice at the end of the auction ... We accept PayPal, cashier's check or money order, or personal checks.  If you are bidding on other open auctions, just let me know and I will happily wait to combine shipping, for any other items that are listed at the time of your win ... My goal is to ship within 24 hours of receiving your payment. Your item will be as carefully packaged as I can manage. Your shipping fees will be calculated by the USPS based on weight and size, and a small handling charge will be added to cover the cost of shipping supplies. Our policy is ... your complete satisfaction with our transaction.  Please feel free to communicate with me about any questions you have while bidding or after your purchase.PawPaw is my 86-year-old father-in-law. PawPaw and his wife Mimi were antique dealers in northern Illinois for years, and have been collectors of almost every kind of historical memorabilia since shortly after World War II. If they thought something would have value some day, they hauled it home and saved it. PawPaw has always said that was his retirement account. I tell him he was just sitting around waiting for eBay to be invented! After Mimi passed away in 2005, PawPaw decided it was time to start sharing his treasures with others, and he has entrusted me with listing them. All our auctions begin at $.99 ... you decide the value! We appreciate your interest in our auctions!I am not a dealer, a collector, or an expert, but I do try to describe each of PawPaw's items carefully and fully and to take good photos. If you have any questions about any item listed, please feel free to ask, and I will do my best to find the answer for you.
