victoriancomic Store Funny Folks by F.M Howarth 1899 Victorian Comic Puck a.imagelink {color:#000000;} a:hover.imagelink {color:#000000;} a:visited.imagelink {color:#8c0003;} a.imagelink img.auctionimage { border: 2px solid #000000; } a:visited.imagelink img.auctionimage { border: 2px solid #8c0003; } Hello all, Offered here is Funny Folks by F.M Howarth. This was published by E.P. Dutton & Co., New York, and London J.M. Dent & Co, 1899. There are many color pages in this book as well as strips in B&W. This book is incredible especially if you like F.M. Howarth. This book is a steal for what you get. There are 90 pages of comic strips. The book itself is quite large. It measures 12 by 16 1/2. Overstreet states that this book is one of the missing links between the Victorian Age comics and the Platinium Age comics. Most comic books 1900 - 1917 reprint Sunday Newspaper comic strips in this same format. Except with cardboard covers instead of a hardcover like this book. Also, all of these strips are reprinted from Puck Magazine. This book is a steal for what you get.Condition: Fair. The interior is seperated from the boards at the front and back of the book. The first blank page is seperate from the rest of the book. The rest of the interior pages are together. I only see 1 page with a 1 inch tear. The pages are all in VERY GOOD condition. Bottom half of the spine is split apart as you can see in the photos.Lots of good humorous reading here. Thanks for looking.
