You are bidding on an old GENERAL ELECTRIC FAN. There is NO CAGE WITH THIS FAN. I got it at the salvage place as they were getting ready to ship it off for scrap.It was lying on the floor face up so the blades are just fine. I plugged the fan in and all three speeds work just fine. Last paten date is aug 13,1895. The body of the fan is rusty. The fan has been rewired so you MUST have it checked out by a licensed electrician before you use it. I assume no liability in the operation of this fan,it is being sold as a collectors item only. Now all the legal stuff is said,it is a very nice old fan and I have not seen this particular model up for a while so it may or may not be rare.According to the men at the scrapyard they have recycled about 250 old fans in the last year or so.Do the math,they are disappearing very quickly.Most are broken with a sledge hammer and the copper removed from the coil.A very sad sight to see indeed.I can remove the blade for shipping and send it in another box if you like for an additional six dollars.Please note that INSURANCE is the responsibility of the buyer and we highly recommend that you purchase it. We are excellent packers, but occasional mishaps do happen. We will not be responsible for loss or damages that happen once the items have left our home. If insurance is unavailable it will be so noted in the shipping terms.Shipping and handling is based on weight and length,we live 14 miles one way from the post office so the 2.00 handling fee is for gas money,bubble wrap(new not from someone's dumpster).If I figure it wrong you get the balance in your package.If I mess up and lose money I never ask for more.NO RESERVE....HAPPY BIDDING!!!!
