The pieces listed in My store are only of the highest quality material that I have stock piled this last year. This specimen of Lepidolite was taken from our mine in the Copper Mountain Mining District Wyoming today (07/05/08). This is a VERY Fancy specimen. which has been proof polished to show the gemmy color. It may be translucent and about 4 to 4.5 on the hardness scale. The photos do not do this piece justice. This piece weighs 16 lbs. and measures approx. 5.5 by 5.5 by 8 inches. This specimen has white areas from the hammer strike but appears to be solid..
