This is an original "poster/sign" dated 1954. It has 8 fish pictured on the left side, and 8 animals and birds on the right side. Each fish is pictured and has a description of the record caught for any particular fish. On the right side animals and birds are described and pictured as to their particular average size, weight, etc. It states in the lower left corner that "all records are compiled by Field and Stream." It also states 'Fish and Wildlife paintings by Herb Chidley". In the middle section is a beautiful scene of the classic red canoe in Northern Minnesota "Boundary Waters" type of area. There are 2 flaws on the picture that can be noticed. I have pictures of both areas. The first is in the clouds above the canoe and looks like a slight water stain and "ripple" in the paper. The other flaw is in the lower center around the Hamms Beer logo and appears to be like a pencil point hole with a slight stain around the opening, like a trim nail was placed there at one time. The whole poster is cardboard and is "framed" in a picture like frame that looks like birch wood. I would say the condition overall is good. Some of the corners of the frame are slightly worn, but otherwise this "sign" is in super condition. Makes a nice addition to any collection. It has a cord for hanging on the back, like a picture framed with glass would have. Bid high. This one only comes around once in awhile!
