Homeless Man by Michael Garman, Colorado Springs, Colorado This is an early (1977) piece by Michael Garman, a popular Colorado Springs based sculptor. He studies real people and his sculptures reflect many of life's harsh realities. This piece has been in a private collection in a smokefree home. There are no papers or box, but the piece is signed and dated by the artist on the base and the stamp of the artist's name and address are on the base. The Homeless Man stands 10.5 inches tall and has a base of approximately 7 inches. He is going through a very realistic looking garbage can and reading a very used newspaper. The paper itself is very thin and delicate so we will take great care in shipping it. There is no damage that I can see to this piece. It's very nature is to look rather "used". He is standing in a brick paved alley amid old bottles, cement blocks and other pieces of trash to give him a look of realism. Please contact me with any questions before you bid. Also, contact me before bidding if you have any special shipping requirements as this may increase the cost of shipping. The shipping costs reflect the heavy weight (8#) of this sculpture.
