This sweet Japanese wood kokeshi doll is from the late l970's, and measures 3" high. This kokeshi doll is composed of 2 separate pieces so you can place the head anyway you want on the base. She's wearing a soft yellow (lemon sherbet-colored) kimono accented with a brown obi, which is real tree bark that the artist left on the doll for added depth & interest. This kokeshi is an acorn child - a little girl with large, round, innocent eyes & smiling lips framed by her little girl bangs & green hair bow. She is just too cute!! This wonderful kokeshi doll is in great condition - hard to find any flaws - & would make a great addition to your growing collection. White spots and lines are camera glare. If you are looking for perfection, please do not bid on the older dolls.
