Description

James Watson. Signed book: DNA (2003). First edition, signed in person. If you Google “James Watson signed book DNA” (without the quotes), you’ll see the prices that several book dealers are asking for identical signed books.   Please note the photograph of me standing next to Watson on the day of the signing, and the photograph of me taken today. I am holding the signed book and this week’s Time magazine to show that I, the original owner, am now selling it. I thought a potential buyer would appreciate that extra step when considering such a fine item.   I've collected autographs for 20 years, and it's time to trim my collection. I am a member of the Universal Autograph Collectors Club and I abide by its strict code of ethics. All items were obtained in person, through the mail (mailing envelopes come with some items) or from reputable dealers (receipts from them come with some items).   All items are guaranteed to have been hand-signed by the person named. If the original buyer EVER doubts an item’s authenticity and any one of the hundreds of UACC Registered Dealers agrees in writing after analyzing the item in person, I will refund the full price, including shipping and handling, as long as the item is in its original condition and the buyer retains the receipt I will provide.   Please look at my past sales and other items I may currently have up for auction.   To further establish my credibility as a seller of fine autographs, I can provide details about other items of mine that have sold through some of the major autograph auction houses, including R&R, EAC Gallery, and Signature House.   Also, as founder of the DC-Area Autograph Collectors Club, I was mentioned in a Washington Post article about autograph collecting. Since some links are not allowed in eBay listings, I’ll just suggest that you Google the headline “Snag a High-Profile Autograph” to see the article.   (The club meets every couple of months to discuss the hobby and show highlights of our collections. If you are interested in joining, e-mail me and I'll send you information.)   If you have any questions about an item, please e-mail me. If you live in Northern Virginia or Washington, DC, you could come pick up your item and save on shipping.   Sincerely, Steven T. Smith     Powered by eBay Turbo Lister The free listing tool.
