Japanese Kanemasa Shin-Gunto Japanese Army NCO WWII Samurai Sword w/ Stand and Sword Bag The Kanemasa Shin-gunto swords; recognized by their green lacquered saya (scabbard), use of all four seppas (plates on either side of guard), and single ashi (hangers); were used commonly by the Japanese Non-Commissioned Army Officers during World War II. This replica is representative of the early period of the War before the greater decline of craftsmanship brought upon by scarcity of materials and greater need for production. This sword blade is made from high grade carbon tempered steel. All the metal accents are cast bronze and feature authentic design with many sakura (Japan's unofficial national flower the cherry blossom).
