This is a very nice magazine pouch made for use with the m1 carbine. It was made with a large belt loop designed to go over a soldiers belt. The back belt loop was so large that soldiers started putting it over the stock of their rifle so it could be close by. This particular one was made by J.Q.M.D. in 1943. It is in very good condition. You've seen the fakes and reproduction pouches on ebay for awhile. I guarantee this pouch is authentic. It would be perfect to have along with your CMP carbine.
