This 12-page booklet was printed in celebration of the Mason Jar Centennial - 1958-1958. It tells the story of the first patent issued for the jarby J.L. Mason, Nov. 30, 1958 and goes on to picture fruit jars with Boyd's Caps. as well as tell the story of how the jar was first used forfood preservation and then how the manufacture of the jar was interrupted during the Civil War. A very interesting little booklet.
