Ali and Frazier fought on three occasions, the first being on the 8th March 1971 at Madison Square Garden, when Frazier won. The second fight took place in New York in 1974 with Ali triumphant. The third and last was fought at Quezon City, Manila in the Philippines which became known as the 'Thrilla in Manila' which was won by Ali when Frazier's when Frazier's second, Eddie Futch, stopped the fight before the 15th and final round with Frazier sitting on his stool. Photo by Sipa Press. I am indebted to an eBayer who identified this fight. The photograph is from second fight, which was not a world title fight. George Foreman had knocked out Frazier in 1973 and had the title at the time. The second Ali v Frazier was an elimination contest, won by Ali, which got a title fight versus George Foreman later that year.
