morgue346 Store A Collectible Certificate from NORWICH PHARMACAL COMPANY This Company was a Pioneer in Chemical Medicine. As early as 1893 they introduced UNGUENTINE as the First Antiseptic Surgical Dressing! My Goodness! Has it been around that long??? Yep! Not only that, but in 1901 they developed a Cure for Serious Stomach Upset in Children. At first it was called Mixture Cholera Infantum but by 1919 enough Parents had been using it themselves that the Company changed its name to ..... PEPTO-BISMOL !!! But after the 1960s the Company became part of Morton-Norwich (known to Stock Traders as "MorNor") and then later Norwich-Eaton Pharmaceuticals - part of Procter & Gamble. You can also purchase a Certificate from Morton-Norwich at My eBay StoreClick here >> So there's a lot of Interesting History contained in this Collectible. Unfortunately someone without a Modicum of Aesthetic Principles wrote the name change on the Certificate! Yet the Vignette itself has remained untouched by this "Philistine" (or was he a "Vandal"?). And it's a beauty! Tell you what! Here's How You can make a Silk Purse out of a Sow's Ear! Carefully cut the Vignette from the Stock and then frame it as a small but truly exquisite Engraving! That's what some Collectors do with stocks like this when the Vignette is still intact but the Certificate is less desirable. You really need to see it up close! This Stock itself is in Very Fine Condition and is just like the one you see. Only the "Vandalism" varies a bit. You can pay a lot of money for one of these fairly rare Certificates - $25.00 or more elsewhere online and up to $50.00 at a Specialty Store - but because it has been "defaced" it's yours right now at the LOW, BUY-IT-NOW PRICE of $2.99! [The Certificate you receive will be virtually the same in all particulars. It measures 8 inches by 12 inches.] These Collectible Certificates are getting more and more scarce!
