You are invited to bid on this lovely vintage teapot, complete with insulated jacket. The teapot is made of cream coloured pottery in a plain but classic style. The ribbed beehive cozy is made of aluminium with white bakelite knob. The cozy is lined with insulating felt. The teapot stands 6" tall including the knob. It is in great condition with no cracks or chips and just minor crazing to the glaze. The cozy is in good condition with no cracks and just minor scuffing. I don't know who made the pot, but the base is marked 'Registered Design No 861576. Made in England'. I estimate that it dates to approximately the 1940s.A functional retro piece.
