Description

Incredible 1965 Dunes Casino $1 Token! Up for auction is this 1965 $1 Token from the Dunes Las Vegas.   The tokens were minted by the Franklin Mint and are brass.  These are some of the first $1 tokens used in the state of Nevada and are becoming more scarce with the use of tickets used in slot machines.  Not to mention the fact that the Dunes was replaced by the Bellagio. The Dunes opened on May 23, 1955 and was imploded very theatrically by the firing of the cannon from the ship at the Treasure Island on October 20, 1993.  The Bellagio now stands over the Dunes remains. The first one-dollar gaming tokens were minted in 1965. Until 1965, all casinos used silver dollars in dollar slot machines and in some table play.   Shipping is $2.00 in the U.S.  Add $3 for foreign countries.  Insurance is optional and recommended.  Insurance is $1.65 in the US.  I combine shipping!  Full S&H for the first item, 1/2 S&H for additional items! All sales are final.  Payment should be received within 7 days of auction's end.  Payment by personal check will be held 10 days to clear. Please email any and all questions before you bid.  Negative feedback will be left for non-payment.  Good Luck and Enjoy The Auction!!!
