Went to an estate sale in Rush County, Indiana and gathered several old kitchen utensils among which were about 7 old egg beaters. This auction is for an egg beater Marked 'LADD BEATER PATD JUL 7 1908, OCT 18 1921, OTHER PATS PEND. NO 1 NEW YORK USA UNITED ROYALTIES CORP'. It is about 10 1/2" top to bottom and the wheel is beautifully made with open cogs -- the handle which turns the wheel is openworked wireware. It needs a good wash and other than that, works EXTREMELY WELL -- the beaters are very clean with no pitting. Nice addition to a vintage kitchen collection as well as to use.
