It has room for 6 spools (two of the dowels are missing) and each spool has an ivory trimmed hole to pull the thread out through. The image on the top of the box is of The Art Gallery Philadelphia Exhibition. The box has an area of worn finish on the top and some wear to two of the ivory insets but otherwise it is in good condition. It could use a good cleaning/polishing. A nice addition to your sewing or Mauchline collection. I try to describe items well but since everyone is looking for something different please e-mail with any questions before bidding.
