Made in 1977, and from a series of 12 figurines, this is the Swagman. Intricately modelled in solid pewter, this is so full of detail, from the knife in his hand, to the billy on the crosses sticks, buckles on his swag to the badly fitting jacket. Marketed by Franklin Mint, this must have been one of their earliest series. But please do not be put off by this – this could stand up to ANY pewter figurine and knock the spots off it. It is signed P J on the base. It comes with a lovely booklet, which tells the story of these colourful characters in Australia’s rich history. He is 90mm high, on a base 90mm x 60mm. He is in as new condition. Please don’t bid unless you really want this item – non paying bidders dishearten all of us! Trading should be enjoyable for buyer and seller, don’t you think? I am always happy to combine shipping for buyers, so if something else catches your eye, just let me know and we can hang off sealing that box. Bidders, please wait until I can pop the postage on the invoice. If you jump the gun and do it for me I do not get a copy of this invoice and I cannot match your payment in my accounts. Which may mean delays in sending things out…. and me tearing out my hair, wondering who has paid! I will complete checkout as soon as I have packed the items, or even sooner if I can. . Email me with any questions before bidding, please. Overseas bidders very welcome. Buyer pays Australia Post cost plus basic cost to cover bubblewrap, packaging materials etc. International buyers please use PayPal. Please do not ask me to accept International Money Orders or checks – our banks charge too much and make us all wait too long for the funds! I mail Tueday through to Friday. Australian bidders please note that GST is inclusive. ABN is 64 463 347 442 . As far as the new Buyers Protection is concerned, for those in doubt, please do check my feedback. I have yet to find that I cannot “protect†my buyers all on my own! It is that simple. This is my job, I am an honest and reliable seller. If I have stuffed up, then it is up to ME, not eBay or PayPal, to fix it. And I have always done so with a good grace, I hope!
