Offered is a gold/brass looking vintage compact with the name of Pilcher on the inside powder applicator. The compact is 3.5"x2.5". It opens and closes with no issues. The mirror is intact but the outside case has been well loved. There are rub marks/areas on both sides of the case. The inside of the compact is in fairly good shape. The front of the little door protecting where the powder used to be has some tiny black dots, about the size of a pinpoint. The rectangle powder puff is coming apart. The two pieces that make it up are no longer glued together. Pilcher is easily read on the puff. The little door works nicely and makes a good snapping sound when you shut it as does the actual case shut well. I seem to think it may have come from my greatgrandmother's estate but I can't exactly recall. I've had it at the lake at a decoration on a shelf. I have no knowledge of this area of collectables.
