Note: I DO accept money orders/cashier's checks.....please contact me first, before bidding, if you will be paying with a check! ******************NOTE: SORRY, I DO NOT ACCEPT BIDS FROM EBAYERS WITH LESS THAN 25 FEEDBACKS!********** From the Prinknash Pottery Company of Gloucester England comes this ivory porcelain bell with a scene of an English thatched roof cottage complete with flower garden and field in the background. Stands 4" high and is 2 1/2" wide at the base. There is gold edging at the top and base, and the mark inside for Prinknash Pottery. Scene repeats on front and back. About Prinknash Pottery: Prinknash Pottery The Prinknash Abbey Pottery was founded in 1942 by the monks when they found a seam of clay during some building work. Their work is typically red earthenware, often with a metallic glaze. The Benedictine monks continued to make pottery at the abbey in Granham, Gloucestershire until 1997 when the pottery was sold to the Welsh Porcelain Co. This bell design was retired and very hard to find! Prinknash is no longer making pottery, as of 1997. Bell is in EXCELLENT condition. NO chips, NO cracks. There is a small mark inside, on the left of the Prinknash trademark, probably made at the time of "firing" (see in photo). Beautiful bell! Any questions, need more photos, just ask! NO RETURNS ON THIS ITEM!
