A propelling pencil, with a sliding, retractable fountain pen incorporated. Difficult to be sure about material. Possibly silver plated brass. Plating is worn in places, and there may be a cap missing to pen end. Otherwise in very good, perfect working condition. Measures 3 1/2" closed. No maker's name I can locate. Dates I would imagine to early 20th Century. A Lovely, and highly unusual item.
