Here is a handful (11 pieces) of early Bohemian Faceted Russian Blue Trade Beads. The 4 cobalt 2-layer Russian Blues are the rare 7 facet glass beads. Known as "Chief's Beads" in areas of the Pacific Northwest where Lewis and Clark recorded these as such, and still a favorite among collectors today. Average size is 10mm x 10mm. One pair exhibits very little to no corrosion, pitting or chips. The other pair has a more primitive look with pitting, corrosion commesurate with age and use. Each of these four beads is a wonderful example of mid 1800's Russian Blue Trade Beads. The Faceted Opague Oblong Russian Blue is also somewhat scarce, and does have edge chips. It measures a nice 20mm x 10mm. The six little 6-sided opaque drawn and cut glass beads measure approximately 5mm x 5mm. These make nice little filler beads with other Russian Blues for trade bead necklaces. Reasonable Starting Bid, and, as usual, No Reserve. Shipping cost is continental U.S. Please email for quote elsewhere. I will combine shipping on multiple bead purchases. Just ask, and thank you for looking!
