Up for auction is this rare original edition of Aunt Martha's WorkBasket - Home and Needlecraft for Pleasure and Profit - Volume 7, No. 4. From what I understand this is an issue that dates back to 1940 and is very hard to find.It is a booklet, about 5 X 8 inches, that folds out to about an 11 x 17 page, printed on both sides with lot of great early craft information, including instructions for a child's knit Ensemble of mittens, cap and sweater, a cotton crocheted Jack Tar Bib, Needlework Notes, basic instructions on How To Knit and quilt patterns for a New Shaded Star Block.It is in excellent condition for it's age (it was my great grandmothers) but does show signs of yellowing. No rips or tears, just a little edge wear.
