This OLD & RARE SPIRIT MASK of MEXICO was purchased by my Mom during one of their trips to Mexico in 1967. It appears to be a Miniature of one of the Lifesize Masks used in their Ceremonial Dances, and is created using 1/2 of a Dried Gourd. It has Inset Eyes with Glass Surfaces in addition to the normal Eye Holes used by the Dancer. The Snout, Ears and Tusks have been added, as has been the Prominent Protruding Tongue. The Whiskers appear to be Hog Bristle. It has a WONDERFULLY FRIGHTENING PAINT JOB as well. The MASK measures 4 & 1/2†Tall, 2 & 3/4†Wide and 2 & 1/2†Deep. The Mask can Hang on the Wall or reside on a Flat Surface~~It shows off nicely either way. It has been carefully stored and preserved just as it came from Mexico over 40 years ago. ***Be SURE to check my other items, for I will be placing on Ebay~~about 3 dozen DOLLS from around the world over the next couple of months!!
