This auction is a consignment from one of our clients that we sell for. Item up for auction is a 2000 large formatted calendar featuring the RED/YELLOW STREETCARS OF LOS ANGELES. When I say large formatted I mean that the calendar is 12"W x 24"L. By the month here is what you are bidding on: January-shows Pacific Electric car #113 inbound at Delta Street on the Echo Park Avenue line taken on September 1, 1950, February-shows yellow car #525 westbound along Fourth Street between Broadway and Spring Streets on March 27, 1955, March-shows Pacific Electric #1243 on an excursion run on October 15, 1950 between Los Angeles and San Bernardino, April shows yellow car #1166 crossing the construction of the Hollywood Freeway on September 9, 1950, May-shows Pacific Electric #1136 inbound from East Duarte siding, near Bradbury Road in Duarte on September 11, 1949, June shows yellow car #305 outbound on the "U" line as it rounds the curve from Estrella onto 23rd street circa 1946, July shows Pacific Electric #1044 on the Newport Beach Limited on October 30, 1949, August shows yellow car #1290 on a rail enthusiasts excursion in 1956 on the Whittier and Brannick loop, September shows Pacific Electric #5022 a double ended PCC car at Allessandro Cut at Fargo Blvd. sometime in the 1950's, October shows yellow car #1234 inbound on the H line headed for downtown Los Angeles on August 16, 1946, November shows Red Electric #316 crossing the Los Angeles River inbound from Long Beach on July 15, 1955, and December shows Metropolitan Transit Authority yellow car #3128 as it heads Westbound on the P line circa 1958. Calendar will be placed in bubble wrap and then sandwiched between cardboard for safe shipment to the winning bidder.
