This is a very cool retro wastebasket from the first half of the 20th century. It has open metalwork in a pattern with a solid square heavy metal base. There is some oxidation to the metal so it should be steel wooled and repainted if you want perfection, but on the other hand, if you love that natural aged look it's just wonderful as it is. I think it would be incredible left out to rust in a garden as an architectural accent, or holding a flowerpot or moss with some flowering or vining greenery.
