Extremely rare (which you probably already know if you're reading this) ... THE CALIFORNIA BRAND BOOK 1919 State of California Cattle Protection Board and Licensed Slaughterers 1918 Fair to good condition (my opinion) for its age, including nice tight spine. First 13 pages have very old tape repairs or dark stains where tape once was on 4" tears at tops of pages. (See photo; first 6 sets of facing pages have this.) Pages have a slight waviness. (See photo of edge of book open & closed) Possibly a blank fly leaf page missing -- not sure, but there is an extra edge along the title page (see photo) that looks like it might be from a fly leaf page that's no longer there. No other pages are missing. Rubbed areas to front & back cover; bumped corners. Two previous owners names penned on front and back inside covers. No other writing, serious stains (except ones from tape), and no odors. 356 pages ~ approx. 7-7/8" tall x 4-3/8" across Please review all photos and feel free to contact me with any questions. From our personal collection, this would be a wonderful addition to the library of any serious early California or Western history buff, as well as an excellent geneology reference.
