Being offered is the Official Pictorial Record of the 175th Anniversary of the Founding Of Reading, PA, & the 150th Anniversary of the Reading Volunteer Fire Dept., Sept. 30 to Oct. 6, 1923. This commemoration actually lasted seven days & featured many different parades, including, Fireman's Parade, Military-Fraternal Parade, Historical Industrial Parade, etc. The book is 110 pgs., complete, with 98 full page great illustrations,(See pictures) The overall condition is great with damage to bottom of spine. The other piece came with the book so it stays with the book. It is an official proclomation from the City of Reading to a resident who lost a son/husband in WWII.(See pictures) It is dated 1943. It is in the original envelope presented to Mrs. Francis Hock. Was it her son or husband? Two nice pieces of Reading, PA memorabilia, twenty years apart, but still together.
