Vintage Replica / Facsimile of Texas Historical Documents on Parchment - 1956This a vintage item of a type of reproduction no longer available. It was purchased in he 1950’s (the date on the envelope is 1956.The folder has a photo of the Alamo and a list of the contents.All the documents are made to resemble parchment. The color, texture, and crinkly nature are all intended to make them appear as old as the original documents.The documents included are described on the folder cover. To give you an idea, there are 7 documents. A brief list is the Texas Declaration of Independence from 1836, .a letter from the President of the Texas Republic to President Polk confirming that ratification fo the constitution, an 1845 letter from President Polk to Congress submitting evidence of admission of Texas to the Union, and 4 more.Even these reproductions are now old and fragile .The envelope measures 11 ½” x 14 ½”.As the seller, I will create the invoice to the winning bidder.
