Up for auction, one rucksack made of a coarse heavy linen. The straps are sewn in the bottom corner on either side and then looped around the top that is closed with a cloth tape. It is a simple rucksack that has been used in Europe for centuries. The bag has been dyed with walnut as I planned to use it for turkey hunting but have done nothing with it. This could be used as either a rucksack or as a snapsack with some slight configuration of the straps. This package weighs between 1-2 pounds. JUST ADDED: 16 1/2 wide by 23 1/2 deep. It is about as wide as a standard havresack and almost seven inches deeper than most. Of course you lose a little when you tie it off. Very nice heavy weight and coarse linen. I chose it because it looked homespun and I wanted to make a riflefrock out of it, this bag was from what was left over. The frock still sits in my closet and may end up here yet... Please see my other auctions for other military items. ALL SALES ARE FINAL, please email me if you have any questions, I check my email frequently and will get back with you.
