Vintage 1930s SKELETON HEAD & CROSSBONES DECORATION MADE IN GERMANY. The SKELETON is 11-1/4" Tall by 9-1/2" Wide. Made of Embossed, Sculpted & Die Cut Pulp Cardboard. The Skeleton has Colored Tissue (attached to the Back) and when backlit causes the Eyes, Nose & Jaws to Glow. The Tissue Backing measures 7-1/2" by 5-1/2". Embossed on the front (on the Jaw) is Marked: GERMANY. The SKELETON has much Raised & Embossed Detailing giving it a 3D effect. The SKELETON is a one Piece VINTAGE ORIGINAL Decoration Composed of the Head & Crossbones with an additional COLORED TISSUE Piece attached to the Back. SKELETON HEAD & CROSSBONES CONDITION: Vintage in All Original & Complete Condition. German Made Circa 1930s. A Thumbtack hole at the very top (where the Decoration was hung) approx 1/16" to 1/8" in diameter. Some small areas of surface crackling due to age. On the tip of the top left Crossbone there is a 3/4" top surface tear & a 3/4" back surface tear (same location to both) but is still held together by the Multi-Layered Pulp Carboard. There are 2 tiny 1/8" surface tears on the back of the Skeleton by the top of the Crossbones. There are no other Tears, Rips or any Repairs. There is some light surface staining to the Back of the Skeleton (at the very top, which does not show through). Some light surface color discoloration due to age. This is an Old Vintage Antique Halloween Decoration. The COLORED TISSUE INSERT Backing is in Excellent Condition.
