ITEM DESCRIPTION SMALL OLD VINTAGE ANTIQUE BRASS BRONZE CHURCH BELL 1770 FROM JUNIPERO SERRA CARMEL MISSION - 1713-1784 Up for auction is this small old bronze or brass church bell. The bell is cast with the words "Junipero Serra Carmel Mission", and has 3 dates on it, 1713-1784, as well as the date of 1770 on the top. The bell appear to be very old with a very thick patina, so it is very hard to judge its age whether it is actually from the 1700's. I just don't know, so I have taken a lot of photos for you to study. A little research shows that the mission is now a school in California. Anyway, it is a very nice old bell and if you do collect bells, I'm sure you may be interested in this for your collection. I have taken some photos with a ruler to give you some idea of its small size. It is still in solid condition with no damage, but definately shows aging. Very nice! This item will be shipped via Fedex Ground with Tracking and Insurance for a flat rate charge of $7.95.
