The metal brass tag reads "Los Angeles Police Dept. Approved Rape & Mugger Sidewalk Companion". The other side is blank. The tag measures 2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. The brass whistle measures 2 1/2 inches long and 1 1/8 inch tall. It has no markings. Great condition and the whistle does work. It has some tarnish on the brass that could be polished off if wanted. Since I do not have any background on it I'm selling it as you see it with no claims to age or authenticity that is came from the actual Los Angeles Police Dept. This is a great and unusual item for any collection! Shipping and handling is $5.25 and will be mailed Priority mail. Insurance if wanted is extra and offered.MY SELLING TERMS: I take Paypal, money orders and personal checks for payment. Personal checks must clear first and will be held 10 business days from the day I receive the check. Buyer is responsible for the shipping & handling charges which is shown on every auction twice for bidders to see before bidding. Insurance if wanted is an extra fee.
