We are offering a leather shield shaped reliquary containing a tiny picture and a thread of the linen of St Therese of Lisieux. It measures overall 1.5 by 1.25 inches and is plain on the reverse. The relic came from a French Carmel with several other items relating to St Therese of Lisieux. She is one of the most popular Saints ever and was named a Doctor of the Church by Pope John Paul II in 1997, the centenary of her death. Her feast is celebrated on 1st October and she is known popularly as the Little Flower. Her relics in recent years have been sent across the world to huge acclaim. This fulfills her unrequited desire to be a missionary. She died at the age of 24 in the small provincial Carmel of Lisieux in Normadie, France, but her message has travelled the world. The colour of the leather reliquary may vary.
