SUPERMAN #23 COLOR COMICS 1940's - 6d cover price Item Details This auction comprises SUPERMAN #23, Printed by Rotary Colorprint Co.Pty. Ltd. and Holland & Newton for Color Comics Pty. Ltd., 56 Young Street Sydney. Printed in the 1940's, the cover price was 6d. Contents Inside front cover - Advertisement for Superboy #1 (which we also have currently listed for sale) Superman - The Superman Story - (12 pages) Silas. P. Scuttle - Sheriff of Sage-Bush City - by Vernon Hayles (2 pages) Superman - Superman takes the Consequences - (10 pages) Looie - by Martin Branner - (1 page) Zatara the Master Magician - (7 pages) Inside back cover - Molly the Model Back cover - Do You Know? plus Advertisement for Kolynos Dental Cream The comic measures 27cm in height x 19.5cm wide The front cover is full colour, the back cover is blue ink. Inside front and back covers are black and white along with Zatara the Magacian and Looie. All the other stories, including Superman, are full colour. Total number of pages: 36 Condition:The condition of this comic is extremely good and the following description provides full details. The front cover has very good colour. The cover has some very light discolouration across the top section. The back cover has a seam split (2.5cm) at the top of the comic and a 1.5cm split on the top edge towards the top left hand corner. The internal pages are all intact with no rips or tears. There is slight age yellowing. NOTE: We currently have other rare Golden Age Australian comics on Ebay for aucton.
