*** Hello! Here is a really cool jar I just recently aquired. Appears to be a version of #218 to me as there is no intersecting of the "I" and an undropped "R". It's a MINT Half Gallon Ball Improved. A Very Nice example. I was informed by a few Ball experts that this is what is known as a Sheepshead example which is scarce in itself. If you notice where the lid screws down to the shoulder there is a bulge and was thought that it used to take a glass lid & band and was converted to take a zinc screw cap. (Thanks Nick!) A great jar to add to a collection. A nice clean & clear aqua jar that has a few good bubbles in the glass. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
