Discriminating Collectors: This is one batch of three very rare vintage lighters. I do not know the age of these - I have seen them referred to as World War II era - but I have no confirmation of that. I have seen the plain brass ones, but NEVER anything quite like these 3 beauties. We have a set of three (3) Brass No. 5 lighters – all in what I would call very good condition to excellent for their age. What makes these unique is that each one has a different exquisitely colored set of matching decorative panels on both the top and bottom fronts of each lighter. The panel shades are bone, ebony and bronze. (SEE ALL PICS.) I DO NOT KNOW what the panel material is, but I am inclined to think that the black and bronze ones are cloisonné. The bone one is a mystery. Bakelite? I have no clue what they actually are - but they are positively gorgeous. I gave them fresh flints and amazingly - they spark wonderfully. I see no serious damage, dings or dents on them, which is remarkable considering their rarity and age. I have left their natural patinas untouched, which are all clearly visible in my photos. From my experience with old brass - one could most likely shine them up if desired, but I will leave that to the winner. SEE ALL PICS. Exquisitely classic, with that long gone real world and old-world charm, these look like something that Bogie used back in the ‘40’s on the big screen. They harken back to days when the world was a more simpler and perhaps a better place… Dimensions are approximately 2.6†x 1.1â€. ****These three beauties will ship out to you in their own individual gift boxes.
