This auction is for a vintage zippered sewing or mending kit from a recent estate sale. The inside is stamped in gold lettering "Ground Leather, West Germany". It measures about 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" x 3/4" thick. The beige outside is stamped in gold with an image of scissors, needle, 2 straight pins, safety pin, spool of thread, thimble, and a button. The zipper moves easily. It may need a little cleaning. On the inside is a very nice pair of 3 1/2" long scissors marked "Made in Germany" and a very nice thimble marked "46". Both are in excellent condition. The strap that holds the thimble is split and the strap for the scissors looks rather fragile. Under the middle strap on the opposite side is a package of needles marked "Rhein Nadel, Prinzess Victoria, 3/7, Best Silver Eyed Sharps, Made in Germany". There are 3 needles left in the package. Cardboards with thread are under the other 2 straps. They may not be original and part of the thread has been used. There is also a needle threader marked "Germany" and an extra cellophane package someone has added. It contains a cardboard with 6 colors of thread, needle, and 2 white buttons. Shipping will be a Flat Rate of $2.00 for First Class Mail. Insurance is optional but recommended. I will not be responsible for items after they are mailed. Please view my other auctions.
