PM 1914 Signed Ellen H Clappsaddle No 3000 Printed in Germany Ellen had fun with this painting. One cupid in a blue hat, yellow shorts, and red mittens seens pleased to have finished tying huge red hearts to two trees. The two hearts are indignant and remark: " Well!" and "The idea!" Another cupid in green shoes and white shorts is walking away discouraged. Maybe he got left out of the fun. The expression on the central figure is classic Clapsaddle with a touch of poignancy. A fascinating card! A rippling water mark or smudge along the bottom edge does not detract from this quirky painting. Very good condition otherwise. Satisfaction Guranteed or Send it Back!
