Star Jumper Kaleidoscope by Randy Knapp A 1990 Limited Edition From our collection is Star Jumper by Randy Knapp. This is an early work of Randy’s that is rare. It’s a very nice classic design reminiscent of Randy’s whimsical taste. Star Jumper is a two mirror parlor collector’s scope that measures 7 x 11 x 12 inches. A 5 point mandala greets the internal view with tumbling lampworked glass pieces and a view that is dichroic, please see the photos. The exterior of this artwork is made of a wood called Wenge. Randy (the artist) once told me this is a difficult wood to work with. It’s hard to believe he had a difficult time with the Wenge – because he executed the design flawlessly and the scope turned out awesome! His signature is on the barrel of the scope. This one is #16 of a limited edition. The scope is in mint condition. It’s been cared for and dusted regularly. Please email with any questions. Randy and Shelley Knapp are master kaleidoscope artists that have created dozens and dozens of high end and production kaleidoscope models. They have been in the business for a long time. Randy’s woodwork is of heirloom quality and Shelley’s lampworked glass pieces are coveted by collectors worldwide. This kaleidoscope is one of several from our collection which we will be parting with.
