I have for auction two very nice old booklets from circa 1908: "The Star Series of Tramp Jokes, Recitations & Monologues," as well as "How to Make Love." The second booklet is dated 1908, and the other book came from the same era. These little booklets are in nice shape, with the paper covers worn slightly due to age, but both are very much intact and attached at the spine. There are some small tears on each of them, but nothing terrible. The book on making love is not quite as scandalous as you might imagine, as you must remember how these things went in the early 1900s: this is actually mostly about courtship and marriage, so this is not R-rated stuff. There is also a label on the Love book stating "Send all orders to THEO. W. MESSICK, Publisher, 1136, 1138 So. 7th St., Camden, NJ." These are great old collectible pulp-style books, so please don't miss out on these nice items! The books are approximately 5-1/4" x 4", with the Tramp book slightly larger than the other.
