This is an unusual type of dairy or milk bottle in being what is called the dent bottle or cream separator bottle. This one is embossed very legibly Sunny Hill Pasteurized Grade A Milk Cape Girardeau, MO. Bottom edge embossed Registered Sealed 52 then a 1901 and what looks like L-C to left. Back side is embossed This Side Up Cream Seperator Bottle Inc. and then toward lower back embossed Pat. 7-3-30 NO.1770093 One Full Quart Liquid. Then on the very bottom embossed words: Sunny Hill Farms Dairy Co. 40 and in the very center what looks like a 19 in a circle. The purpose of this dent in the bottle shoulder was to hold back the milk while the cream was poured off. This bottle is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips.
