Description

SUPERB IMAGE OF PINBALL & WURLITZER JUKEBOX ON LOCATION!   When the late author/historian/collector Richard M. Bueschel had a hand in producing the book Coin-Ops On Location (early 1990s), it triggered a desire in me to publish a similar book, depicting Pinball Machines on location. This desire triggered a relentless search for original photographs and real picture postcards depicting pinball machines on location, and years of research to identify a pictured machine! Sometimes only a section of side art is visible, or a little piece of the backglass or playfield is clear...you can imagine the hours of research required! I was going to call my book:                                               I Played There! A collection of postcards and photographs, depicting Pinball Machines (and other coin operated machines) in diners, taverns, bowling alleys, restaurants and recreation centers. These images are a testimonial to the existence of a form of recreational leisure, which will probably never be experienced again! A considerable amount of research went into identifying the machines, if they could be identified at all.  The young will be treated to a nostalgic journey, of a time past. Perhaps their current stomping grounds: a mall, a park or a corner store, once was a coin-operated machine site! To those who remember...enjoy the journey! Let the cigarette smoke and vinegar aroma engulf you, as you imagine yourself behind the controls of a game on location. You can almost hear the sounding of the bells, and the mechanical clatter of switches and relays, supporting your quest for a replay or extended play! Maybe you too will say.... I Played There!Dedicated to the love of my life, Maria, who not only gives me unconditional support, but enjoys the journey as much as I do!Bruce "Beester" HamiltonToronto, Ontario  Since I now realize that securing a publisher and the amount of work required to publish a book may not happen in my lifetime, I have decided to make some of these timeless images available to others.   Well, Mom and the little fella are looking at the camera...what's Dad lookin' at?! The Pinball Game shown in this photograph is a Chicago Coin's  MAJORS OF '49, which was produced in (you guessed it) 1949!  Other items of interest are a beautiful Wurlitzer Jukebox and Mom holding a Sunkist pop bottle!   What a timeless and rare image of a pinball machine on location and even rarer, it has been identified for you! This Black & White photograph is apprx. 5"  x 7 " and was produced (at a "digital photo lab") by scanning the original photograph on a high resolution scanner and then converted into a digital file. It was processed using photographic chemicals to create the image imbedded into high quality, glossy photographic paper. These are NOT cheap INK on top of paper prints. Postage prices include a 6" x 8" cardboard Photo Mailer (with DO NOT BEND) to provide protection for your new found treasure! Please read descriptions carefully as I cannot offer insurance or refunds, and am not responsible for items once accepted at the Post Office. Could this be the start of another hobby for yourself?.......A great addition to anyone's coin operated device picture collection as well as a nice picture for you diner, restaurant and juke picture collectors as well...Good Luck!
