It's woven of an extremely light weight fabric (not heavy like damask), but has no tags or labels, so we can't determine the fabric content, nor the age of manufacture. It has a very soft, supple hand and feel, similar to challis. ~ The pattern is a rather classic, old fashioned motif, with a floral theme that has a paisley-style design on the ends. That design, combined with the ornate border that surrounds the main section, gives an almost Oriental look to this table top accessory. However, with it's rich but subtle colors, this runner would fit well with many decorating styles... ~ The condition is excellent, without any flaws at all, that we can find. So, any signs of wear would just be the light use one can expect to find, in a previously owned table linen of uncertain vintage. ~ We always encourage any potential bidders to decide the suitability of this item for themselves by carefully regarding the photos, and writing to us with any questions.... ~ Please keep in mind that most of what we auction on eBay are vintage or previously used items, so they're not new, mint, or "perfect".
