THE LIFE AND WORDS OF JOHN F. KENNEDY BY JAMES PLAYSTED WOOD AND THE EDITORS OF COUNTRY BEAUTIFUL MAGAZINE This is a softcover book that was printed in the USA for Scholastic Book Services. This book was originally sold to students by mail order through their schools. It was not available in regular book stores. This book is from the 3rd printing in June 1966 (first printing was in 1964). This book measures 9" tall by 7 and 1/2" across. There are 80 pages with several black and white photographs. Many of them are quite rare. This is a biography that covers Kennedy's childhood through his presidency. This was published after Kennedy's assassination. This book mentions it, but does not go into detail about it. Some of the material in this book is reprinted from Country Beautiful Magazine. CONDITION: COVER - There is some wrinkling. Some of the printed image has chipped away around the edges. There are minor dirt marks on the back cover. The inside of cover has severe yellowing. SPINE - There is no vertical crease on the actual spine, but there are faint creases alongside the spine on each cover. There is wrinkling near bottom corner (looks like corner was curved upward, but now lies flat). The spine is tight and all the pages are securely attached. PAGES - There is yellowing around edges, but pages are otherwise clean. A few pages have old corner creases. The page corners have rounded slightly. Overall, this book is in sturdy condition.
