Description

What a great item is this Mexican Talavera geko lizard. Our friend from Mexico features an array of colors and patterns of Old Mexico. He measures 8 1/2" long and 8" wide. This friendly reptile will add color and charm to your patio, deck, garden, or home interior. He can be displayed on wall or table top. Talavera is a glazed pottery produced in Mexico, mostly in the region of Puebla (due to the quality of clay in that region). Talavera is the oldest tin glazed ceramic in the Americas. It is still manufactured using the same techniques as in the 16th century.  See my other listings for more Talavera animal sculptures including: iguanas, parrots, butterflies, fish, horses, chihuahuas, and soooo.... many more!
