You are bidding on a new Cruise patch from the past. At the end of every Navy Carrier Cruise someone designs a Cruise Patch. The idea behind the cruise patch is to create a design that represents the purpose of that individual cruise. Sailors and Aviators put these patches on their flight jackets to remind them of each cruise they have completed. Usually they show where the Carrier went and any Operations conducted by the Airwing and Carrier Group. It also tells everyone on the carrier how many cruises they have been on. There jackets become a badge of honor. This particular patch represents the 2003/04 cruise in which VF-211 flew the F-14 while supporting "Operation Enduring Freedom" and "Operation Iraqi Freedom". They flew off the USS Enterprise. The squadron has since transitioned to the Superhornet. Do not hesitate to add this patch to your collection.
