Alberto Vargas' "Memories of Olive" Ziegfeld Girl Pin-Up Poster This auction is for a recently printed poster called "Memories of Olive". The original was painted when Vargas worked for the Ziegfeld Follies in the 1920s. The model was stage and screen actress Olive Thomas who was married to Jack Pickford, brother of the very famous Hollywood legend, Mary Pickford. (This is really a bad scan. The background does not have the pink tones at the top. It is all the beige color that you see at the bottom.) A poster of this painting was printed in 1985 and very quickly sold out. This is a second printing of the poster with different graphics. The dimensions are 24" x 36". It is printed using a high quality printing process called continuous-tone lithography. This poster is in excellent condition. Stored flat, never framed. Don't miss the opportunity to own this poster that is one of Vargas' most famous from the Ziegfeld era. It will make a great addition to your Vargas or pin-up art collection. No Reserve!
